The National University of Agriculture (UNA) is taking a crucial step toward strengthening its strategic framework. As part of the TAGDev 2.0 program, supported by RUFORUM in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, a workshop will be held on February 23 and 24, 2026, in Abomey.
The meeting brought together the university’s management team and program directors.
Professor Flora Chadare, coordinator of TAGDev 2.0, opened the session by highlighting the key objective of this work: to incorporate stakeholders’ recommendations in order to produce reference documents of the highest quality.
The official launch featured an address by the Rector, Professor Agossou Bruno Djossa. He emphasized the direct impact of this workshop on the institution’s international visibility and the effectiveness of its internal management.
The first day was devoted to working sessions in committees. Divided into five thematic groups, the experts focused on key cross-cutting themes:
• Entrepreneurship and Incubation;
• Experiential Learning and Community Engagement;
• Gender, Inclusion, and Protection;
• Digital Economy;
• Approval of the program’s new website.
After a first day filled with amendments, the rest of the program promises to be decisive. The morning of the second day will be dedicated to finalizing the documents, followed by a plenary session for collective validation of the tools and policies.
